At Rightway Heritage Trimming we're proud to offer several options for the type and grain of leather we can produce your seats and armrest in: Originally all Healeys used 'Connolly' leathers from the UK. Connolly leather is distinctive in that it's a hard wearing, natural grained, surface dyed leather... Meaning: the grain pattern varies naturally between smoother and courser areas, and the colour is only dyed on the top surface of the leather, so when it ages and cracks, the natural tan colour of the leather shows through... For the Concours savvy, we're proud to offer Authentic Connolly leather in all the original colours! The Connolly leather does cost more, but it comes with a certificate of authenticity and is of course the correct original type of leather for Healeys and other British cars of the classic era.. The next options which are somewhat less expensive, are still good quality leathers that we source through various tanneries from Germany and Italy.. The majority of these leather options are colour dyed all the way through to the suede side, meaning it will age well with cracks being less noticeable than a surface dyed leather. These leathers are available in either smooth grain, natural grain, or heavy/embossed grain depending on your preference... The natural grain is what we recommend as the closest to original option (for those on a budget) that we've been able to source in all the original colours... When ordering your seats or armrest in leather, let us know what your preferences are; this is the feature point of your cars interior, so we want to provide you with exactly what you want.
