If you've ever really studied an original Austin Healey seat, you'll know that they were well made!
The trimmers often signing their initials on the bottom as a token of pride -
They had soft moulded 'Dunlopillo' cushions & cotton wadding  that you sat 'in' rather than just 'on'...

The backrests were also designed with simplicity and comfort in mind, using moulded Dunlopillo cushions & strategically placed coach wadding to add loft and shape to the profile...

Even later BJ8's which were a thicker seat, used the same soft moulded Dunlopillo foams with extra 1/2" foam added behind it to thicken the overall profile...

Unfortunately the moulded seat foams available today are too big and too dense & hard when compared with the originals -  producing seats that look overstuffed and cause the occupants to sit too high in the car!

Because of the lack of suitable moulded foams available, Rightway Heritage Trimming decided to create our own softer density seat foams, that are the correct size and shape as the original, with factory style cutouts in the bottoms that create a much better look and feel to our finished seats.

Even our seat pleats are created with a combination of original spec coach wadding that we layer together with 1/2" foam to create softer - rounder pleats that look and feel just like the originals did, without the flat edge lines that others end up with using  sliced foam...

The end result is a seat that feels soft and comfortable like the originals did - the difference is in the details!

Looks like the old red BN2 seats are from my 100M. The new seats look great and are very comfortable. I wasn’t sure if the original “BN” markings were the installer’s initials or just that the seat was for a BN1 or BN2.
